About The Position
The Nursing Assistant - Certified (NAC) provides personal care to assigned clients in home health or residents in our nursing facilities under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The NAC performs nurse delegated tasks in compliance with state law[1]. Qualifications: Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with clients/residents, families, clinical and non-clinical staff, and others in relation to provision of care to clients and residents. Must possess the ability to take direction from a supervising RN and then be able to work alone and deliver the care and services as delegated by the RN to assigned clients and residents. Ability to understand and address client/resident and family expectations and provide excellence in care and service consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, values and behavioral standards. Working knowledge or self-initiative to become knowledgeable of applicable local, state, and federal laws and standards as applicable to the role. Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, in a way that is understood by clients/residents, family members and others related to the health care team.
Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a CNA and in role with a nurse delegator.
- Certified Nursing Assistant program. Nurse delegation education as specified in Washington state law[1].
- Current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification in good standing
- Current Health Care Provider CPR Certification
- Current Washington State driver’s license and access to a vehicle in good working order if working in home health
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year experience in a home health or nursing home setting preferred.
