Position Overview: We are seeking a flexible and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to join a Medical-Surgical Float team. This role provides critical support across multiple med-surg units, offering diverse clinical experiences while ensuring consistent patient care standards throughout our academic medical center. Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensure: Current New York State CNA certification; BLS certification
- Experience: Minimum 1 year patient care experience
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in vital signs, patient hygiene, and activities of daily living
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills; adaptable to different unit environments
Nice To Haves
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across multiple medical-surgical units
- Assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility
- Obtain and document vital signs and patient information
- Support nursing staff with procedures and treatments
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments
- Transport patients and equipment as needed
