About The Position
We are seeking a courteous, friendly, and self-motivated individual to join our Obstetrics (OB) team in a unique role that blends patient care and unit support, in an "as needed" capacity. This position combines CNA responsibilities with light secretarial duties in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where no two shifts look the same. This position is to fill in for regular staff time off or occasionally pick up extra when needed due to census needs or other staff availability. Perfect position for a nursing student around class schedules or breaks, or an experienced CNA looking for some extra hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist nurses in caring for laboring patients, postpartum patients, outpatients, and newborns
- Support newborn care and family needs
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment, including room turnover and cleaning medical equipment
- Answer phones and warmly greet patients and families
- Assist with patient paperwork and entering charges
- Order and organize supplies to keep the unit running smoothly
