About The Position

The CNA Clinic provides essential support to clinical staff by assisting with routine medical procedures and patient care activities within an outpatient clinic environment. Working as part of a collaborative and well-organized care team, this role supports smooth clinic operations by preparing patients for examinations, assisting clinicians during minor procedures, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and patient-centered setting. In a noncritical care environment, the CNA Clinic contributes to efficient workflows, positive patient experiences, and high-quality care delivery through consistent communication, attentiveness, and professional conduct. Through teamwork and reliable support, this position plays an important role in ensuring coordinated and compassionate outpatient care.

Requirements

  • Current North Dakota CNA certification required
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
  • CNA certification required
  • Computer use and keyboarding skills
  • This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting patients with movement throughout the clinic.
  • CNAs must be able to lift or support up to 40–50 pounds when helping patients or positioning equipment.
  • The role demands manual dexterity for clinical tasks, the ability to respond quickly in a busy environment, and sustained focus during periods of high patient volume.
  • Visual and auditory acuity are essential for patient interaction, documentation, and recognizing safety concerns.
  • Work occurs in an outpatient clinic setting with routine exposure to medical equipment, cleaning solutions, and occasional contact with bodily fluids.
  • The environment may involve moderate noise, frequent interruptions, and interaction with diverse patient populations.
  • CNAs must adhere to all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies while maintaining professionalism in a fastpaced, teamoriented atmosphere.
  • Flexibility may be required to support varying clinic schedules or workflow demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Clerical training preferred
  • 2 years of experience as a certified nursing assistant preferred
  • 1 year oncology experience preferred
  • Coding experience preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists providers and nursing staff with routine office based medical procedures and patient preparation.
  • Supports patient flow by escorting individuals to exam rooms, obtaining basic measurements, and ensuring rooms are properly stocked and sanitized.
  • Provides patient instruction and reassurance in a calm and courteous manner, promoting a comfortable care environment.
  • Documents patient information accurately and communicates relevant updates to nursing or provider staff.
  • Maintains clean, safe clinical areas by following infection control and equipment hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborates with the clinic team to support daily operations, respond to patient needs, and facilitate efficient appointment workflows.
