Status: 36 hr/week 7p-7a Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a CNA to join their Acute Care Unit. The successful applicant will manage incoming information via telephone, call bell and direct conversation by directing the appropriate person. This individual will participate in up-staffing and down-staffing for the present and incoming shift in collaboration with the Charge Nurse/Supervisor/Nurse Manager and will performs CNA functions when requested. Essential Job Duties: CNA Duties include but not limited to: Promotes patient safety and abides by the patient fall risk program and completes fall risk rounding at least twice per shift. Obtains and documents vital signs and reports abnormal findings to patient’s nurse. Performs daily weights and reports abnormal findings to patient’s nurse. Appropriately documents ADLs, ambulation, intake and output, vital signs, weights, safety rounding, and any other patient care activities performed throughout shift. Ensures that patients have fresh water, while appropriately observing patients with NPO status or fluid restrictions. Assists patients with activities of daily living along with providing them with supplies. Assists in ambulating patient according to physician order.
