About The Position

NOVA Engineering is seeking an experienced CMT Field Coordinator (Dispatcher) to support our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection operations from our Norcross, GA office. This role is critical to the success of our field operations and serves as a key liaison between technicians, project managers, and clients. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient, and comfortable balancing scheduling, coordination, quality assurance, and hands‑on field responsibilities.

Requirements

  • ACI Concrete Field Technician certification (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in Construction Materials Testing and/or Special Inspection
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, field coordination, and technician utilization
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Soils Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage daily field schedules to ensure appropriate technician coverage across multiple projects
  • Communicate daily assignments, locations, and expectations clearly to field staff
  • Track, maintain, calibrate, and coordinate purchasing of field equipment
  • Support internal training efforts and assist with quality assurance and compliance initiatives
  • Perform senior‑level CMT and Special Inspection duties as needed, including: Reinforced concrete testing and inspection Proofroll observations Attending pre-construction meetings Supporting complex or high‑profile projects
  • Serve as a technical and operational resource to field technicians and project management staff
  • Assist with improving efficiency, consistency, and communication across field operations
