About The Position

As a CMM Quality Inspector , you will provide Quality Control inspection support for the Honeywell Engineering Laboratory Quality Team. In this role, you will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality leaders to ensure products meet all dimensional, regulatory, qualification, certification, and development requirements. You will play a critical role in driving product quality and compliance by performing detailed dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision measurement equipment. Your work will directly support qualification, certification, development builds, and production readiness activities, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and aerospace regulatory standards. You will report directly to the Lab Operations Manager and work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona location.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of experience in quality inspection, CMM inspection, or a related manufacturing quality role.
  • Hands-on experience operating and programming CMM equipment or equivalent.
  • Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with US export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a US Person, which is defined as, US citizen, a US permanent resident, or have protected status in the US under asylum or refugee status.

  • Experience in an aerospace, laboratory, or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ZEISS CALYPSO software for CMM programming and operation

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision dimensional inspections of components and assemblies using CMM equipment and manual inspection tools (surface plates, height gauges, micrometers, etc.)
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, models, and specifications to validate conformance to design requirements
  • Program and operate CMM equipment to execute inspection plans
  • Analyze inspection results and document findings in detailed reports
  • Identify nonconformances and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support qualification, certification, and development build activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, quality performance, and on-time delivery
