The CMM Programmer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs, and vision equipment programs used to inspect precision components. This role ensures that products meet engineering specifications, GD&T requirements, and quality standards through accurate measurement and data analysis. The CMM Programmer collaborates closely with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to support new product launches, validate processes, and troubleshoot dimensional issues. Responsibilities include creating inspection routines, selecting appropriate measurement strategies, equipment, analyzing results, and driving continuous improvement in measurement accuracy and efficiency. This position requires strong knowledge of metrology principles, blueprint reading, and GD&T, along with proficiency in CMM software and other measurement equipment. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex technical data are critical for success.
