About The Position
A prominent Aerospace & Automotive manufacturing company in Macomb County is seeking an experienced CMM Operator to join their growing quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-precision components in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of CMM operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with PC-DMIS (program editing and running programs required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, precision components
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Aerospace and/or Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision-machined components
- Utilize PC-DMIS software for running programs and performing dimensional inspections
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
- Document and report inspection results accurately
- Identify non-conformances and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams
- Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with aerospace/automotive standards
