This is a 1st Shift position: Monday – Thursday 5 am – 3:30 pm Job Summary: You will work as a CMM Inspector, responsible for performing dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision inspection tools to verify that engine components meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards. This role ensures product conformity, supports production with timely feedback, and helps maintain the overall quality system.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years’ experience with CMM programming

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years’ experience with CMM programming
  • ASME certification.
  • Aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision machining background.
  • Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems

Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso)
  • Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision instruments.
  • Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.
  • Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain calibration of inspection tools and follow all standard work, safety procedures, and quality system requirements.
  • Assist with training operators and inspectors on print reading and measurement techniques.
