About The Position

The purpose of this position is to assist the Big Lake Clinician(s) in meeting the patient's needs while providing care to patients; prepare, perform, and understand all x-ray exams; and is responsible for laboratory functions such as specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. Schedule: Full-time | 72-74 hours every two weeks Shifts include: 8am-5pm 3 days per week and 7:40am-5pm 1day per week 1 day off per week No weekends or major holidays
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), NCMA through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Must provide proof of pass notification prior to start with verification of official certification or registration within 3 months of exam date.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider cared required per established policy
- State of Minnesota X-ray operators license Required
- Understanding of medical terminology, medical charts, and the ability to communicate medical information to patients and staff.
- Laboratory skills required to include specimen collection, processing, testing and recording of laboratory results, and Quality Assurance of laboratory equipment.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and abilities, including the ability to positively interact with patients, physicians, and employees, in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
Nice To Haves
- Radiology operators license preferred.
- Recent radiology experience preferred.
