About The Position

Are you a multi-skilled individual that can work independently to provide quality health care to patients? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with providers and other nursing staff? If you are a Certified Medical Assistant or currently working on obtaining your Medical Assistant certification, we would love for you to apply for our full-time Certified Medical Assistant position that will provide assistance in the Occupational Medicine Clinic. Medical Assistant Wage Range: $16.17 - $21.81 / hour Certified Medical Assistant Wage Range: $17.37 - $24.05 / hour

Requirements

Graduation within 12 months of hire from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
BLS required.
Excellent customer service skills

Nice To Haves

Prior medical reception and/or clinical experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting patients.
Update and maintain patient files and medical records
Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules
Take vitals, explain treatment procedures, collect and prepare lab specimens
Authorize prescription refills and manage prescriptions with pharmacies
Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean working space
