About The Position

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for CMA/LPN for its West Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients. Responsibilities include: rooming patients, assisting provider in exam rooms, assisting provider with in-office procedures, patient phone call triage, stocking rooms, obtaining prior authorizations as needed for medications, surgeries and imaging. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT), NAHP, NCCT, NHA
  • Possession of State License Practical Nursing
  • Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
  • Days: Monday, Tuesday & Friday and every other Wednesday
  • Hours: 7:30AM - 5:00 PM
  • Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ambulatory care experience in Dermatology a plus
  • Experience with scribe a plus
  • EMR experience preferred
