About The Position

TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm is a private par-70, 7,107-yard championship golf course located in Potomac MD, just under 20 miles from the White House. The Club has hosted over 20 championships for the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and the Korn Ferry Tour since opening in 1986. Following an historic renovation by PGA TOUR Design Services in 2008, TPC Potomac has earned a reputation as a formidable test for the world’s best players. Tee up your career as a part of our team with the TPC Network! Clubhouse Maintenance person is responsible for maintaining proper operating conditions for the facilities. The Clubhouse maintenance person is also responsible for ensuring that the clubhouse building is in good structural and physical condition.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of building maintenance and procedures as would normally be acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent education, plus two or three additional college level courses of study or trades training or equivalent years of experience in progressively responsible positions
  • Two to three years of previous experience in a similar role

Responsibilities

  • Plumbing: Provide plumbing maintenance services.
  • Electrical: Provide electrical maintenance services.
  • Wall Repairs: Perform wall repairs.
  • Light Modifications: Perform light modifications.
  • HVAC Maintenance: Provide HVAC maintenance filters and belts.
  • Drain Maintenance: Perform drain maintenance.
  • General Repairs and Modifications: Perform all general repairs and modifications.
  • Review job orders from General Manager to determine work priorities.
  • Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Develop preventive maintenance program for facilities
  • Inspect facilities, operating machines, and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Review plans for facility improvements and discuss equipment needs and modifications with the general manager.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  • Direct training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Confer with the general manager and department heads to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of facilities, machines, and equipment.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain responsibility for and keep a written record of the inventory of all tools
  • Establish and maintain par stock inventory of spare parts and supplies
  • Perform and maintain responsibility for all repairs on cart fleet.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records on each cart
  • Maintain responsibility and perform as needed the continued preventative maintenance of all HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and all kitchen equipment
  • Obtain bids on all major repairs, maintenance contracts or capital projects and submit to general manager for approval
  • Maintain responsibility for and ensure compliance of all cleanliness standards of the clubhouse, entrance and parking lot.
  • Monitor appearance of all areas at least four (4) times per day
  • Maintain responsibility for key control, perform an inventory quarterly, and maintain control log
  • Assist general manager with the development of the annual operating budget, capital budget, and perform within established operating guidelines
  • Establish and maintain security guidelines and assist in training and enforcement of all security procedures pertaining to the security alarm system, fire alarm systems, lightning warning system, patrol schedules and safety communications
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
