You will join the Apps Onboarding & Enablement team, part of the Platform & Data Area at Mercedes-Benz.io. The team operates at the intersection of platform services and development teams. It is responsible for Kubernetes and Docker platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud operations automation, with a strong focus on customer enablement, reliability, and cost optimization.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes in production environments
- Experience automating infrastructure or platform operations using Python or Bash
- Practical experience with Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid Linux and networking fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Comfort working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban
Nice To Haves
- FinOps experience, including cost optimization tools such as Karpenter or Goldilocks
- Cloud migration experience including IaaS, lift‑and-shift, or re‑architecture projects
Responsibilities
- Operate and continuously improve Docker- and Kubernetes-based platforms running on AWS
- Ensure Kubernetes environments are reliable, scalable, and released to production without downtime
- Automate platform and infrastructure operations using Python, Bash, and Infrastructure as Code
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and application deployments
- Enable and support development teams onboarding and running applications on Kubernetes as a trusted technical partner
- Improve and document platform processes for onboarding, operations, and optimization
- Monitor platform health and performance using tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
- Investigate and resolve issues across Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with developers, security teams, and project managers
- Contribute to cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives
