Our work depends on PM joining our team to support CDC systems that protect the United States and the world by preventing, detecting and responding to disease threats. HOW A CLOUD SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: The Cloud Services Program Manager Is responsible for maintaining the operational integrity, security, and performance of Cloud infrastructure. This role ensures high availability of systems, manages hardware and network components, and supports business continuity through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science
  • 10+ years of managing cloud environments
  • 5+ years of Coordinating with vendors, engineers, and IT teams
  • Deep understanding in managing Cloud Environments including Azure and AWS
  • Azure, AWS, Zero Trust
  • Public Trust
  • Demonstrated experience as an (Azure Administrator/AWS SysOps Administrator)

  • Infrastructure Management: Configuring and maintaining virtualized resources (VMs, containers) and the physical hardware that supports them.
  • Performance Monitoring: Using tools to track network traffic, server loads, and resource utilization to prevent downtime.
  • Security & Compliance: Managing Identity and Access Management (IAM), firewalls, and security groups to protect sensitive data.
  • System Maintenance: Handling OS patching (Linux/Windows), software upgrades, and robust backup strategies.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyzing usage trends to scale resources efficiently and avoid "cloud sprawl" or unnecessary costs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain data center systems, servers, storage, and network equipment
  • Install, configure, and decommission hardware and software
  • Manage rack layouts, cabling, power, and cooling systems
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups
  • Ensure compliance with security, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Troubleshoot hardware, network, and environmental issues
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Maintain documentation, inventory, and asset tracking
  • Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and IT teams
  • Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, power usage)
