About The Position

The ideal candidate for the Cloud Senior Engineer/Systems Senior Engineer position is a cloud-savvy, dynamic, and perpetual learner. They should bring robust experience in cloud environments like Azure and AWS, including hybrid integrations, subscription lifecycle management, and automation through Infrastructure as Code. Additionally, they must maintain a comprehensive understanding of enterprise infrastructure systems, with skills in configuring both physical and virtual servers, storage, and SAN systems. As a Cloud Senior Engineer/Systems Senior Engineer at Westfield, you will play a pivotal role in our cloud-smart strategy, designing, deploying, and optimizing both cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions to ensure robust integration, security, and compliance across our technology stack. A strong capability to automate processes through scripting languages such as PowerShell and Terraform is essential. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement cloud-native solutions, driving digital transformation and aligning with our business objectives. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Engineering and Administration.
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Cloud platforms - Azure and AWS
  • VMware - ESXi, vCenter, NSX-T
  • Windows Server 2016 - 2025
  • Storage - Pure Storage, Dell Connectrix (MDS) SAN, NexSan, Dell Isilon
  • Commvault, Commvault Metallic, Superna, Zerto Replication
  • Morpheus/vRealize Orchestrator
  • Azure and AWS subscription deployment and lifecycle management
  • Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) roles, permissions, and policy governance
  • Private endpoint management and DNS integration across hybrid environments
  • Cloud monitoring and centralized logging integrations, including Azure Monitor and Sentinel
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployment using Terraform and Azure DevOps for repeatable and compliant infrastructure builds
  • Advanced experience with VMware
  • Active Directory Domain and Core Services; DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
  • Block/Unstructured Data Storage solutions and SAN
  • Certificate Management/PKI
  • Automation: PowerShell, Terraform, Azure DevOps.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Troubleshooting skills.
  • Intermediate Networking Knowledge, including load balancing technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements, and supports enterprise-wide cloud and on-premises infrastructure and systems.
  • Monitors and manages the health of cloud and on-premises infrastructure to ensure maximum availability, performing proactive maintenance and upgrades throughout an asset's lifecycle.
  • Implements and maintains security baselines, applies patches, and ensures currency for all components throughout their operational lifecycle.
  • Enforces system and data security through the implementation of controls and logging mechanisms, ensuring compliance with the company's Information Security Policies.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates standards, policies, and procedures related to the management, maintenance, recovery, and utilization of services provided by the Windows team.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable infrastructure architectures and contribute to the development of policy recommendations.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of all datacenter assets and ensures the management of service agreements.
  • Contributes enterprise-scale projects by translating business requirements into technical designs that align with strategic objectives.
  • Performs troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network incidents, implementing effective solutions to resolve issues across the organization.
