Headquartered in Boston, Veolia employs over 10,000 individuals across more than 350 locations in North America. Veolia Water M&S (Paramus), Inc. is seeking a Cloud Product Manager in Paramus, NJ. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements and assess demand for cloud services. The Cloud Product Manager will be responsible for defining, managing, and executing the cloud product roadmap, prioritizing features based on business needs and customer feedback. Key aspects of the role include overseeing the delivery and deployment of cloud services, ensuring alignment with product requirements and timelines, and working with cross-functional teams such as architects, engineers, and operations for successful implementation. The manager will also manage the product backlog, facilitate product demonstrations and user acceptance testing, and monitor cloud product performance, adoption, and customer feedback. Identifying opportunities for product improvement, advocating for customer needs, analyzing pain points, and delivering presentations to business and technical leaders are also crucial. Furthermore, the position entails providing leadership and guidance to matrix-reporting team members, mentoring them in product development methodologies, driving accountability for project deliverables, and ensuring clear alignment of goals across the matrix organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s Degree experience in a related technology-related occupation.
  • Five (5) years experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
  • Five (5) years experience managing complex products or services from ideation to delivery.
  • Five (5) years experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Five (5) years experience with cloud computing concepts, architectures, and best practices.
  • Five (5) years experience product management including requirements gathering, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
  • Five (5) years experience translating technical concepts into business value propositions.
  • Five (5) years experience with cloud service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Five (5) years experience with cloud governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Five (5) years experience with cloud cost optimization strategies and financial management.
  • Five (5) years experience managing teams in a matrix organization structure.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and assess the demand for cloud services.
  • Define, manage, and execute the cloud product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business needs and customer feedback.
  • Oversee the delivery and deployment of cloud services, ensuring alignment with product requirements and timelines.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and operations, to ensure successful product implementation and delivery.
  • Manage the product backlog, grooming and prioritizing user stories and requirements.
  • Facilitate product demonstrations and user acceptance testing to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on cloud product performance, adoption, and customer feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvement and optimization based on usage data and customer feedback.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze and problem solve the customers needs and pain points.
  • Create and deliver presentations and updates to business and technical leaders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to matrix-reporting team members while coordinating with their direct managers.
  • Lead and mentor assigned team members in product development methodologies and best practices.
  • Drive accountability for project deliverables while respecting existing reporting structures.
  • Ensure clear alignment of goals and objectives across the matrix organization.
