The Cloud Engineer will design and manage cloud environments, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure. Key responsibilities include deploying and maintaining cloud services, automating cloud operations, monitoring system performance, and optimizing costs. The engineer will also collaborate with various teams to support development pipelines and troubleshoot issues within the cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Clearance: Must possess a Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications in support of TRADOC G-2 objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and implementation strategies.
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of cloud solutions.
  • Manage cloud resources and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Document cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
