Part of a larger team delivering high quality Computer, Network, Storage and End-User Infrastructure technology solutions, on-going support to the business. Independently completes infrastructure project assignments. Plan, research, evaluate, design, and engineer the enterprise's technology infrastructure. Provide technical support and troubleshooting, cost estimates, justifications, and recommendations. Produces technical documentation, support and configuration. Manage, plan, and maintain technical platforms including upgrading systems. Monitor system performance and installs and configures hardware. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such as Project Managers, Architects, Solution Engineers, Technicians, Business Analysts to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices.

Requirements

  • Expertise in designing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures using platforms like AWS, Azure, Oracle OCI, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of cloud-based databases – RDS, DynamoDB, Oracle – and data storage solutions – Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Azure Blob.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms such as – Amazon ECS/EKS, AWS ROSA, OpenShift – for deploying and managing applications.
  • 6-7+ years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Skills in monitoring cloud environments using tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or third-party solutions, and optimizing performance and costs – Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management – IAM – and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable cloud architecture to meet business needs
  • Oversee the deployment, management, and monitoring of cloud resources, ensuring they are optimized for performance and cost.
  • Work with cross-functional teams – DevOps, Security, Development – to ensure that cloud solutions align with organizational goals.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
