About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Cloud Computing Engineer at a major National Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to investigate, plan, gather requirements, design, develop, test, document, analyze problems, and support software systems and applications. Support the design of software tools and subsystems that support reuse and domain analysis, assisting Applications Engineers and Programmers in interpreting software requirements and design specifications, coding, integrating, and testing software components to ensure they meet project objectives. Analyze functional business applications and design specifications across various areas, including finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts, translating detailed designs into computer software, testing, debugging, and refining software to produce high-quality products. Prepare comprehensive documentation and enhance software to improve efficiency while providing technical direction to programmers to ensure project deadlines are met. Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management systems and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives

Requirements

  • BS/BA in relevant discipline plus a minimum 2 years, or more, of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties.
  • Related experience may be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. Dept. of Energy Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Core Azure Services Knowledge (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless)
  • Strong Dev Ops (CI/CD, IAC,.Net)
  • Scripting Programming (Python,Powershell)
  • Strong Problem Solver

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to analyze design, develop, and deploy full-stack .NET web applications supporting our customers to elicit, define and meet information system requirements
  • Experience in Support existing applications using a variety of legacy technologies and modernize existing applications
  • Experience with Custom applications in the environment
  • Experience with developing technological improvements to the team’s toolchain (for example, our CI/CD pipeline, infrastructure APIs, testing framework, or our microservice deployment platform)
  • Ability to evaluate, test, and analyze implementation, functionality, performance, and tools of information system solutions, ensuring that requirements and acceptance criteria are met
  • Experience with one or more of the following: web development, .NET (C#), Angular, Python, Java relational database design, Agile development for cloud solutions.
