Come make an impact every day at Zebra. The Cloud Engineer II plays a critical role in supporting analysis, troubleshooting, and maintaining high attention to detail. This position is responsible for monitoring system events and ensuring the timely escalation of notifications that arise during the assigned work shift. Additionally, the Cloud Engineer will actively execute scheduled manual tasks with precision and adherence to established protocols. We are seeking a dedicated Cloud Support Engineer to join our dynamic Cloud Support team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in utilizing cloud monitoring tools, observing and interpreting system dashboards, and responding swiftly to software alerts and user-reported issues. These skills are essential to ensuring the reliability and performance of our cloud infrastructure. No visas sponsorship or relocation offered for this role. Must be able to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) to support a 24x7x365 environment. This role is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of 3 days a week in our Kennesaw, GA office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience working on an operations style team (NOC, SOC, MOC, etc.) and troubleshooting networking, service desk, operations center and/or supporting cloud based Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, web services, networking, Data bases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP) required.
  • Knowledge and Experience on Kubernetes, Terraform, Python and Datadog is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of the following monitoring concepts: Infrastructure, systems, and Application health, system availability, latency, performance, and end-to-end monitoring.
  • Knowledge of Markup, query, and scripting languages, including Python, HTML, PromQL, SQL and familiarity with REST API calls, and PowerShell.
  • Experience (1+ year) with ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Event Management.
  • Entry level cloud, network or security certificate from Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, CompTIA, or other well-known vendors.
  • Cyber Security related Certifications like Security+, SSCP, CCSP, and CEH.

Responsibilities

  • Diligently observes and interprets Cloud monitoring dashboards and alerts.
  • Resolves basic issues; escalates urgent and complex issues. Knows the difference
  • Coordinates with internal departments and sometimes with customers.
  • Monitors customer SLA compliance and escalates issues when cases exceed resolution timeframes.
  • Monitors case backlog to ensure we meet agreed SLAs with customers and internal KPI targets; shares regular status reports with stakeholders.
  • Documents all troubleshooting and issue management actions via the electronic case management system, contributing to runbooks and process improvements.
  • Schedules resources and arranges work efforts to cover weekends and/or on-call shifts to be available and engaged in response to system-initiated alerts.
