For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Senior DevOps Architect. Core Knowledge & Skills: Sets enterprise DevOps strategy; integrates AI/ML, edge, and IoT into delivery; governs compliance and risk at scale across environments. Work & Complexity: Directs innovative, global DevOps solutions; addresses the most ambiguous challenges; and future-proofs platforms and practices. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Cloud DevOps Engineer Subject Matter Expert. Project Summary AIS is supporting a new Leidos account focused on architecture and infrastructure services in the Boston/Hanscom area. This is a subcontract engagement (approximately 15% workshare) with significant near-term hiring demand (~50 roles) to support federal mission delivery. Roles are primarily remote, with Massachusetts candidates preferred and availability targeted for March/April.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
  • Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications.
  • Able to obtain a minimum of a Secret security clearance; active Secret preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance (or higher).
  • Massachusetts-based candidate or ability to support periodic on-site needs at Leidos sites in Concord or Tewksbury, MA.
  • Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develops strategy and integration methodology around design, development and implementation of cloud based solutions
  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
  • Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
  • Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues
  • Enables the quick development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis and incorporation of feedback from developers/users
  • Considered a recognized authority within the company
  • Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative
