About The Position

HX5 is seeking a Cloud-Based Command and Control (CBC2)/USAF Weapons School Test SME to join our team at Hurlburt Field in support of the 605th Test and Evaluation Squadron. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Advise and assist by supporting the development and implementation of T&E projects for C4ISR weapons system. Advise and assist by interfacing with warfighter expertise across the Theater Air Control System (TACS), and other C4ISR Systems as tasked such as: Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), Battle Control System-Fixed (BCS-F) and Tactical Operations Center Light (TOC-L). Assisting in the development and production of draft test plans and reports for government approval on each system for T&E. Advise and assist by supporting C4ISR system T&E (including force development evaluation (FDE), operational utility evaluation (OUE), operational assessments (OA), Tactics Development and Evaluation (TD&E) activities, Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs), middle tier acquisitions (MTA), rapid prototyping, agile software upgrades including sprints, concept demonstrations, operational demonstrations, and special projects conducted and supported by the 605 TES. Focus on, but not be limited to, test and evaluation of the following: C4ISR architectures, such as BCS-F open-systems architecture for automating Homeland Defense Air Operations; distributing, and processing ISR information, such as the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS); DoD cryptographic modernization; and others that support a multitude of operational missions across the DoD; Air Force Logistics systems that support the readiness and sustainment of Aircraft and Munitions. Assisting in the development of operational test support requests (OTSR’s), developing end of day SITREPs, after action reports (AAR), and lessons learned as required by 605 TES leadership. May be tasked to assist in development of memorandums of agreement (MOA) and memorandum of understanding (MOU). The lead contractor shall submit visit authorization (VAR) and gatekeeper requests as required for TDY. Advise and assist by providing acquisition and process support by reviewing any 605 TES acquisition support activities and products. Assisting in the development and updates of the following: Integrated test team (ITT) charters, initial capabilities documents (ICD); capabilities development documents (CDD); capabilities production documents (CPD); operational requirements documents (ORD); analysis of alternatives (AoA); program management directives (PMD); test and evaluation strategies (TES); test and evaluation master plans (TEMP); concepts of employment (CONEMP) and concept of operations (CONOPS) and operational manuals and handbooks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Tactical C2 Support. Most recent experience should be in the last five (5) years.
  • Must have five (5) years’ experience with weapons, command and control, surveillance, identification system.
  • Must be a USAF Weapons school graduate.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance prior to date of hire.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a US Top Secret/SCI SSBI within one (1) year of hire.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60 days per year.
  • Work requires sporadic physical activity.
  • There will be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of radios and tactical equipment (weighing up to 35lbs and/or require 2-man lift).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Air Defense Sectors, ABMS, BCS-F and TOC-L.
  • Experience with agile practices and modern cloud-based software development.
  • Three (3) years of experience as an operational tester.
  • DAWIA OT&E Practitioner Certification
  • 8th Weapons School Graduate
