We are seeking a Senior Cloud AWS Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative team supporting a leading financial institution based in Richmond, VA. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in AWS, automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions that power mission-critical systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including EKS and other container-based platforms
  • Proficiency in Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools
  • Strong background in Ansible Automation, Packer, and GitLab (or similar CI/CD, source control, and deployment technologies)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application system issues
  • Experience in Agile environments and implementing DevOps best practices
  • Strong understanding of change management, system monitoring, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and project updates

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using automation and containerization best practices
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments and infrastructure updates
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver secure and resilient cloud solutions
  • Define and document system standards, configuration management processes, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot system issues and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime
  • Support risk management, compliance, and audit activities for cloud environments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, and security teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Lead or support technical projects, providing progress updates and technical documentation
