About The Position

Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to support a major transportation organization's cloud modernization and enterprise architecture initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead the development of enterprise-wide architecture standards, streamline cloud transformation strategies, and guide technology procurement to ensure alignment with long-term business goals. This role requires a strong background in Azure Cloud, hybrid cloud integration, and cloud governance, with the ability to influence architecture review boards and drive best practices across security, networking, and cost optimization. You'll serve as a technical leader, helping shape the organization's cloud-first strategy while ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance across all environments.

Requirements

7-9 years of hands on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform (design, implementation, and architecture).
1-2 years of exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud providers such as AWS or Oracle Cloud (OCI) (preferred).
4-6 years of experience in Hybrid Cloud and On-Premise Infrastructure Integration.
Strong expertise in Cloud Networking, Cloud Security, and Cloud Governance.
Familiarity with Cloud FinOps practices for cost management and optimization.
Experience with Architecture Review Boards (ARB) or similar governance bodies, leading enterprise-level architecture reviews.
Demonstrated ability to oversee technical procurement processes and ensure alignment with architecture standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar architecture visualization tools.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
