About The Position

The cloud architect is responsible for designing and implementing cloud computing The Cloud Architect facilitates the development of the right future-state architecture and ensures its effective adoption. Provides overall direction, guidance and definition of architecture programs that effectively supports government operations.

The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the world 24 x 7 x 365.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud computing, including the various cloud deployment models, cloud service models, and cloud deployment architecture.
• Bachelor of Science with 10-12 Years experience, or Master of Science with 8-10 years experience, or PhD with 5 years experience in a related field is
• Previous experience supporting an enterprise IT environment for a DoD COCOM or similar level organization.
• DoD IAT Level II certification
• AWS or AZURE or Google cloud certifications - i.e. AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer or higher
• Prior experience supporting cloud migration efforts
• ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
• Bachelor of Science with 10-12 Years experience, or Master of Science with 8-10 years experience, or PhD with 5 years experience in a related field is required.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated knowledge of C2 systems, CIP/COP platforms, and operational task organization structures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for technical training and coordination.
• Experience in implementing, training, and documenting software systems, including Ability to travel globally in support of operational units.

Responsibilities

• Advocacy and support of the enterprise's IT strategies, identification, and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context, analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, and the development of strategies aligning IT to business.
• Designing the cloud infrastructure, designing the cloud application architecture, and designing the cloud security architecture.
• Maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services.
