About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Architect (Journeyman) to support the MODES III program supporting Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP). In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and sustainment of secure cloud architectures for MODES III systems in alignment with Government technical, security, and operational requirements. This position is remote and requires an active Top Secret clearance. JOB DESCRIPTION Cloud Architect. Responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and sustainment of secure cloud architectures for MODES III systems in alignment with Government technical, security, and operational requirements. Supports design and implementation of cloud architectures to host and operate MODES III systems and services in accordance with Government standards. Assists with development of cloud solutions that address scalability, availability, performance, and security requirements across cloud-hosted environments. Supports integration of cloud services, platforms, and components with existing systems and data sources to enable reliable operations and interoperability.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Education/Experience: 8 years related experience with a BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 4 years with Phd or 12 years w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA
  • Certifications: This role requires a demonstration of capability within the Cyberspace IT workforce. Successful applicants must satisfy Foundational Qualification standards via an approved industry certification (e.g., A+ or Network+) or documented equivalent military/educational training as defined in the DoD 8140 Qualification Matrix.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty) or equivalent cloud certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale government IT modernization programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Worklocation: remote with the ability to travel to the NCR if required
