About The Position

AEITS, Inc., a GTSC company, is growing its team! Seeking a Cloud Architect Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer, Level III, to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position. Mission: As a Cloud Architect Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer, you will analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Seven (7) years of demonstrated combined years of experience (YOE) in cloud and artificial intelligence systems with a bachelor's degree; if Master's degree then five (5) YOE; if Ph.D., 3 YOE, else 12 years of relevant DoD program management or relevant experience if a high school/GED graduate.
  • Cloud Architecture/ Cloud Engineer/ Platform Engineering (especially in AWS).
  • AI/ML system design and implementation.
  • High-level understanding of the AI lifecycle (development, training, inference, monitoring).
  • Experience with ML pipeline development, model deployment, and DevOps/ML Ops.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a variety of stakeholder groups, ability to proactively engage with these groups to understand requirements and inform system architecture decisions.
  • System security and networking (particularly the implementation of system security on classified systems).
  • Data engineering and data lifecycle management.
  • A High School Diploma or GED plus twelve (12) years of general system engineering experience.
  • OR
  • A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus seven (7) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR
  • A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR
  • A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Amazon SafeMaker is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation.
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
