About The Position

Peraton requires Cloud Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. The Cloud Administrator is a pivotal role within our team, providing Tier 3 systems support.

Requirements

  • Min 9 years with HS degree, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, 3 years with MS/MA
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • At least 3 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization.
  • Proven track record in managing production Windows Servers and implementing top-tier security practices within an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft operating platforms and office applications.
  • This position demands a comprehensive understanding of government PaaS, SaaS coupled with advanced skills in analysis, troubleshooting, and system design.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a critical component of this role.
  • Demonstrated ability in performance optimization and system engineering processes
  • Strong foundational understanding of network concepts: VLANs, Layer 2/3 switches, port channel bonding.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based system administration.
  • Proven expertise in monitoring and maintaining highly available distributed systems.
  • A continuous learning mindset with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies.
  • Security-minded and detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer a Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
  • Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
  • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
  • Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.
  • Ensure all resources components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
  • Innovate and implement new technologies to advance mission readiness.
