Peraton requires Cloud Platform Engineers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. Implements solutions using cloud computing technologies, primarily Microsoft Azure, as well as virtualization and containerization technologies, such as VMware and Docker. Implements security requirements and best practices, including secure network design, encryption, access controls, and data protection. Builds and maintains cloud-based platforms and services, including experience with scripting languages, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines. Works effectively in a team environment and collaborates with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders. Effectively communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences to USSOCOM Enterprise, Component, and TSOC representatives. Stays current by adapting to new technologies and best practices. Analyzes complex problems and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the organization. Implements zero trust security measures, including implementing security concepts such as access control, encryption, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, cloud-based security models and cloud-based security controls. Develops Zero Trust Architecture IAW NIST SP 800-207. Adheres to agile software development methodologies and IT service management practices. Represents USSOCOM and interfaces with software and hardware vendors for support issues. Supports the hybrid multi-cloud by following strict security protocols (including IAM, data encryption, and governance and management policies), develops a migration plan, develops interconnectivity with legacy systems, and integrates monitoring and reporting tools. Supports the development of automated provisioning with knowledge of IaC tools and their associated languages (such as HCL and YAML), deploying resources and services in cloud platforms (Azure) and their APIs and services, provisioning networking and security resources and policies. Develops solutions using scripting languages (such as Python, PowerShell and Bash) to automate tasks and implement automated provisioning workflows, development of containerization and orchestration (such as Docker and Kubernetes), and developing solutions that utilize APIs including understanding their documentation and making requests using tools (such as Postman).   • Min 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years with PhD
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience specifically within Microsoft Azure Government.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), Cloud+ (CompTIA Cloud Plus), GCLD (GIAC Cloud Security Essentials), GCSA (GIAC Cloud Security Automation)
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) Experience (MaaS360, Intune)
  • A degree from an ABET or NCAE accredited institution in one of the following fields is highly desired: Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Software Engineering.
