About The Position

Works with clients of all ages to diagnose and treat mental health disorders through counseling . Conditions may include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety , phobias, substance use, aggression , self-harming , and trauma . Work s as part of a treatment team to create personalized treatment plans , assess progress, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. P rovide s integrated and evidence-based therapies, interventions, education, and helps coordinate other healthcare needs.

Requirements

  • Must have a master's degree in s ociology, p sychology, h uman r elations, s ocial w ork, or e ducation from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC -A ), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT -A ) , or Licensed Master Social Worker (L M SW) under the supervision of a board approved supervisor .

Nice To Haves

  • 1- 2 years experience providing mental health therapy and/or in the mental health field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes positive, trusting rapport with clients and engages family participation.
  • Conduct s comprehensive a ssessments and diagnoses behavioral and mental health disorders.
  • Develop s person-centered treatment plans that address clients' needs, strengths, abilities, and preferences.
  • Provide s individual, group, and family therapy as needed for clients with emotional, behavioral, mental health, and/or trauma.
  • Provide s clinical interventions for children, adolescents, and adults in outpatient and residential settings .
  • Conducts ongoing assessments of client progress and adjusts treatment plans, as necessary .
  • Maintain s client records and all clinical documentation in compliance with confidentiality, organizational , state , federal, and all other applicable rules and standards .
  • Participate s in staff training, development , and implementation of the quality improvement process as it relates to therapy, assisting staff with arriving at solutions to client problems as they relate to trauma issues.
  • Promote s mental health well-being and develop s awareness for the prevention of trauma in vulnerable populations internally and out in the community.
  • Assists in the development and provision of trauma-informed education and training programs for staff , partners, and the community.
