The Connection’s Sierra EFRB Program has an opening for a Master’s Level Clinician who will provide outpatient competency restoration, individual and group clinical services for adult, justice-involved males with a primary mental health diagnosis. Program Summary: During their 3–6-month length of stay in this congregate care setting, pre-trial adult males with a primary mental health diagnosis are provided with supervision, psycho-educational and skill-building services to support them in re-entering the community after a period of incarceration. The goal is to reduce recidivism through establishing positive behavioral change and pro-social community connectivity. Position Summary: The Sierra EFRB Clinician will provide outpatient competency restoration assessments, individual and group clinical services for adult, justice-involved males with a primary mental health diagnosis in a community-based, congregate living setting. This position is based at The Connection: 48 Howe Street in New Haven. The Clinician is part of the Sierra EFRB Program Leadership Team and works collaboratively with funders, referring agents, medical and clinical providers to establish wrap-around services and reduce recidivism among the justice involved population. The team also provides referrals to employment, housing, and educational services in the community on behalf of clients.
