About The Position

The Healing Place (THP) is a nationally recognized nonprofit recovery program providing hope, healing, and long-term support for individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring behavioral health needs. Clinician Level 2 is a licensed (or license-eligible) role responsible for providing direct clinical services with growing independence. This position focuses on strengthening clinical judgment, managing a caseload, and delivering evidence-based care within a structured and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Active associate-level Kentucky licensure (CSW, LPCA, LCADCA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred
  • Ability to manage a clinical caseload with support
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to client needs
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced residential environment
  • Respect for diverse backgrounds and recovery journeys
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and clinical interventions
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Facilitate IOP and structured therapeutic groups
  • Respond to client needs and crises with appropriate intervention
  • Participate in supervision in alignment with licensure requirements
  • Apply feedback to strengthen clinical skills and documentation quality
  • Demonstrate increasing independence in clinical decision-making
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Collaborate with peer-driven program staff to support integrated care
  • Communicate client progress, barriers, and recommendations clearly
  • Complete documentation within 24 hours of client interactions
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and billing standards
  • Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain progress toward independent licensure (CSW, LPCA, LCADCA, etc.)
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
