About The Position

The Healing Place (THP) is a nationally recognized nonprofit recovery program providing hope, healing, and long-term support for individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring behavioral health needs. Clinician Level 1 is an entry-level role designed for individuals beginning their clinical career. This position focuses on building foundational skills in assessment, group facilitation, and documentation while working under clinical supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, or related field
  • Working toward or eligible for CADC (or equivalent)
  • Interest in substance use and behavioral health treatment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn, apply feedback, and grow professionally
  • Basic proficiency with documentation and computer systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced residential environment
  • Respect for diverse backgrounds and recovery journeys

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group support services under supervision
  • Assist in facilitating psychoeducational and structured groups
  • Support intake, assessments, and treatment planning
  • Observe and apply evidence-based practices (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care)
  • Identify and escalate client needs or concerns appropriately
  • Participate in regular supervision in alignment with licensure requirements
  • Demonstrate openness to feedback and professional growth
  • Build foundational clinical judgment and ethical decision-making skills
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Collaborate with peer-driven program staff to support integrated care
  • Communicate client updates clearly and professionally
  • Complete documentation within required timeframes with support
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory standards
  • Develop proficiency in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Work toward certification or licensure (e.g., CADC or equivalent)
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
