About The Position

As a Clinician I - Lead, you will: Conduct initial phone screens and triage for new clients as needed. Provide care coordination and assists clients with accessing entitlement programs and resources as needed. Assist the management team regarding delegation of program tasks and staff implementation of policy Provide back-up oversight and support for all staff to ensure program delivery and client satisfaction. Collaborate with peers and management on program and client issues to assure optimum outcomes. Provide guidance, training, and support to program staff members, ensuring their understanding of program goals and their roles within the organization including on-boarding and ongoing training support. May participate and assist in recruitment of new staff. Oversee and review documentation of staff members to ensure adherence to program standards and county requirements as well as implementation of clinically-appropriate language and addressing safety concerns accordingly. Act as liaison with schools to ensure compliance with SchooLink requirements. CRF inspires and mentors the next generation of mental health professionals! Nueva Vista Family Services is one of our Children, Youth and Families (CYF) outpatient programs that provide services throughout South San Diego County. We provide a range of services including crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, medication support, rehabilitation, case management and co-occurring behavioral health and substance use services while incorporating the family systems and wrap-around approach. We provide mental health services to children and youth with Medi-Cal as well as those who are uninsured and underinsured. Our services are clinic, school, community, and home-based. CRF staff members work together to meet the needs of San Diego County's residents who are experiencing mental/behavioral health challenges. Requirements

  • Master's degree in a mental health-related field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling required
  • Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) required
  • Strong clinical skills and minimum of 2 years of experience in working with severe emotional disturbance/co-occurring disorders is required
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Demonstrated knowledge of County Mental and Human Services requirements including documentation is required
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
  • A valid California driver's license in good standing, proof of insurance, and personal vehicle are required to fulfill the essential functions of this position.
  • Able to pass criminal/background clearance
