About The Position

Join the Lawrence CJSC serving as a Lead Clinician to provide support for justice involved individuals! As a lead clinician, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the team and actively participate in the treatment planning and goal setting for our clients!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all casework services are consistent with the operating policies of the Office of Community Corrections (OCC) and other regulatory agencies.
  • Promotes and leads agency culture of learning and respect to others as well as agency mission and strategic plan while empowering staff in meeting the agency mission.
  • Ensure that participant documents such as a copy of all intake materials are placed in participant files including those provided by supervising agencies (e.g., Probation, Parole, and Sheriff’s Department).
  • Complete intake assessments utilizing assessment tools (e.g. LS/RNR, TCUDS, etc.); assess risks/responsivity needs; and develop treatment plans for each assigned participant.
  • Ensure that treatment plans and goals for transition are completed and reviewed on a monthly basis. Provide feedback to participants.
  • Review and finalize weekly Utilization Report.
  • Make necessary referrals to outside agencies or departments as needed. Case manage community based-services.
  • Complete regular check-ins with participants.
  • Document participant interaction (i.e., client notes) as needed.
  • Assign and track completion of Client Behavioral Interventions (CBI’s) as needed.
  • Create an after care/discharge plan for each assigned participant.
  • Facilitate CBT manualized groups to fidelity. Submit to/conduct group audits.
  • Utilize technology for programming needs (i.e., virtual meetings/groups or hybrid models).
  • Keep participant data and information updated in the system (Client Information Management System or CIMS).
  • Audit clinical files and oversee process for making corrections when necessary.
  • Transport or conduct drug testing on participants upon staffing deficiencies.
  • Participate in all meetings and trainings as requested by the supervisor(s).
  • Facilitate clinical meeting and provide supervision to staff during the absence of supervisory staff.
  • Assist Director in interviewing and training new staff as needed.
  • Participate in program development or other administrative activities as needed.
  • Learn and demonstrate respect for the roles of other agencies (OCC, Sheriff’s Department, Parole, Probation, etc.).
  • Actively participate in annual performance evaluation process of the Center.
  • Collection and documentation of urine screens as needed.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor(s).
  • Provide training and supervision to college interns, volunteers, and/or new staff as needed.
