About The Position

As a Clinical Trainer at the Center for Social Dynamics, you’ll play a critical role in equipping new team members with the skills they need to support individuals with developmental needs, including autism. This hands-on role is essential in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where new hires can thrive. You’ll oversee key components of training and skill development, help new hires navigate training modules, and provide support for continuous learning and professional growth. This role is primarily focused on training and professional development. In some cases, Clinical Trainers may also support direct services or billable activities based on organizational needs. With a focus on personalized support and real-time coaching, you’ll contribute directly to shaping a knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated team that impacts lives every day. This role will also have a billable expectation associated with it, up to 10 hours a week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, psychology, nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities, ideally within an ABA or multi-disciplinary team setting
  • 1+ year of experience in training or coaching staff preferred
  • Active RBT, BCaBA or BCBA credential (or eligibility for renewal)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and comfortable with online training platforms
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to support diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledge of ABA practices, early intervention methods, and evidence-based techniques for autism preferred
  • Reliable transportation, with ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings or weekends
  • Physical requirements may include but is not limited to: Constant visual stimulation, including close vision, distance vision, reading, computer work.
  • Constant sitting; frequent up and down out of chair.
  • Constant use of telephone, speaking, listening
  • Constant document handling, use of copier and fax machine, filing.
  • Frequent typing, use of computer
  • Occasional walking around building
  • Occasional bending, reaching, stooping, pulling.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, moving of items up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional walking to, bending to enter, sitting and using upper and lower limbs to drive car.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding and training for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into their roles and successful completion of training modules.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, shadowing opportunities, and necessary certifications.
  • Monitor new hire progress, providing guidance and follow-up to maintain engagement and completion of required tasks.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins and coaching sessions for new hires and support their professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold training standards, contributing to a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance training content and delivery, staying updated on best practices in the field.
  • This role is primarily focused on delivering training and supporting skill development for staff. In some cases, trainers may support direct services or billable activities based on organizational needs.
