About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our Alluma school-based team in Fertile, MN. This vital role focuses on delivering therapeutic services to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade at Fertile-Beltrami School, supporting both students and their families to foster emotional well-being and academic success. As a key member of our school-based mental health team, you will collaborate with Alluma’s network of experienced clinicians across the region and local schools. You will play an essential role in promoting mental wellness by helping students develop the tools they need to understand, manage, and overcome emotional and behavioral challenges. For those in a mental health clinical trainee role, Alluma offers clinical supervision to support your growth and ongoing success in becoming a licensed mental health professional. We provide board-approved supervisors for Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Counseling. This is a 12-month position, with opportunities for flexible scheduling during the summer, if needed. Come join our team!

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensure or license eligibility in the state of Minnesota (LGSW, LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, etc.).
  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Clinical licensure with the clinical discipline
  • Experience or passion for working with children and families in a school based or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills.
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • Training or certification DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy services to students in grades K–12.
  • Engage with families to support treatment planning, communication, and coordination of care.
  • Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and administration to support students’ overall development.
  • Develop and implement interventions focused on early identification, prevention, and management of mental health concerns.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with organizational and licensing standards.
