About The Position

Responsible for providing therapeutic and case management services to a variety of clients at Steps For Change by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, training will be provided on Steps For Change’s electronic health records system.
  • Master's degree (M.A. / M.S.) or higher; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have one of the following licenses, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist , or Licensed Psychologist
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.
  • For clients who have acted out sexually, provide cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies grounded in attachment theory, with a particular focus on the Good Lives Model as a framework for growth.
  • Prepare Diagnostic Assessments
  • Implements and monitors client treatment plans.
  • Works effectively with a team of therapists.
  • Assures a strong case management experience with ability to carry a caseload 15-30 clients.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Coordinates with outside providers as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of standards, policies, laws, and rules relating to the delivery of psychological services.
