About The Position

Are you a compassionate clinician dedicated to helping children and adolescents find their voice after trauma? We are seeking a Therapist I to join our team in providing high-impact, client-centered therapeutic services. In this role, you will be a guiding force for youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or adverse childhood experiences. By utilizing evidence-based practices, you will help foster emotional well-being and long-term healing for our most vulnerable community members. As a Therapist I, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy. You will work within a multidisciplinary framework, collaborating closely with families, schools, and child welfare agencies to ensure a comprehensive "whole-child" approach to care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree (M.A.) or equivalent in Social Sciences (Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience providing mental health counseling to children, adolescents, and their families.
  • English and Spanish fluency.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child development.
  • Ability to pass a clear fingerprint background screening.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • This role is subject to meeting agency productivity goals to ensure we reach as many children in need as possible.

Nice To Haves

  • Training or certification in specific modalities like TF-CBT, PCIT, or EMDR is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapy using trauma-informed modalities such as TF-CBT, EMDR, or Play Therapy.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain a caseload of 22–25 clients, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Educate caregivers and families on the impact of trauma on child development and behavior.
  • Provide safety planning and crisis support as needed.
  • Participate in weekly supervision, staff meetings, and multidisciplinary consultations.
