About The Position

The Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, or adults, depending on the program’s service population. This role utilizes evidence-based practices to address substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, and co-occurring conditions as required by the program. The Therapist completes initial assessments, develops and monitors treatment plans, delivers therapeutic interventions, and collaborates with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on client needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services–related field and/or current state clinical licensure as required by the program (LPC, LCSW, LISW, LSW), per licensing and funder requirements.
  • Familiarity with standard business software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required clearances, including ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances, as applicable.
  • Completion of all trainings required by licensure and program standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, including diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered therapeutic approaches appropriate to the program population.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as clinically indicated.
  • Maintain an active caseload, including consistent engagement of individuals in ongoing treatment.
  • Develop, implement, and track individualized treatment plans and required clinical documentation in accordance with funder guidelines and program goals.
  • Participate in clinical group meetings to review treatment progress, address barriers, and plan for discharge as appropriate.
  • Enter timely and accurate documentation into the electronic medical record in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to non-licensed therapists, counselors, and other staff as required to meet state licensure and program requirements.
  • Complete all required trainings and perform other duties as assigned.
