Who We Are Cache Valley Counseling is a growing Marriage and Family Counseling Clinic that has experienced tremendous growth since opening in 2017. Our client-centered focus has allowed us to grow into a busy clinic seeing 100+ clients per week; we are looking to add another skilled therapist to help us serve even more people. The founder of the company (Chelsea Petersen) is a Utah State University Graduate with her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has a passion for helping couples improve their relationships and is a Certified Emotional Focused Therapist and Supervisor. While our main focus of therapy is couples, we also provide therapy for individuals and families, including EMDR for trauma. Requirements

• Competent understanding of therapeutic processes, grounded in your Theory of Change.
• Collaborative and Engaging personality. If you are self-aware enough to know you are abrasive...or if YOU keep being the common-denominator in interpersonal work-place issues/drama, you won't fit at CVC.
• We are a couples focused clinic, with Attachment Science and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) as our core framework. You must have a desire to pursue this model
• Willingness and Comfortability to attend to your development as a therapist through group and individual supervision by: filming yourself doing therapy and reviewing it, identifying and talking about Self of Therapist issues affecting your work, contributing to group discussions, reflecting on your clinical performance and identifying relevant goals for improvement, etc.
• Superior therapy skills that produce results in your client’s lives
• Excellent communication skills (with clinical team and clients) that are developed continuously
• Skill, confidence, and presence that helps the client to confidently say yes to future therapy
• Accountable – you’re happy to be held accountable and flexible enough for coaching and feedback when necessary
• Ability to self-evaluate your clinical performance through Key Performance Indicators in order to continue expanding and progressing
• Deep understanding of clients internal and external problems, grounded in a specific Theory of Change
• Must be available to work some evenings

Responsibilities

• View this position as "not just a job" but a Profession that you take passionate pride in
• Have high self-achievement standards...you don't have to be the most skilled (yet), but you are required to have high expectations for yourself (Attraction Phase)
• Be willing to put yourself out there into the community at events, social media, workshops/webinars, videos, etc (Conversion Phase)
• Be willing and comfortable having "direct conversations" with prospective clients about committing financially to their Road Map (aka treatment plan). At the end of the day this is a business, so if you are "scared" or "think it is wrong" to talk about money in connection to therapy, CVC is not the place for you. (Retention Phase)
• Provide world-class care that beckons clients to stay committed to completing their Road Map (Reactivation Phase)
• G.A.C. Give. A. Crap...we live by this. Give A Crap enough about your clients, and be self-aware enough to know when to go the extra mile for current and past clients
• Have a humble and eager drive for clinical excellence. Every single week we train; do case consults, individual and group supervision; review taped sessions; do role plays....(I know that one's a scary one), etc.
• Accountability. Notes are to be completed timely. Numbers don't lie (particularly trends), you must be detailed in tracking your caseload and performance, be on time to sessions, end sessions on time, communicate with the team, and work within timelines.
• In essence, if you are looking for a clinic where you can just come in, punch the clock, and maybe help a few people along the way for the next 15-30 years...you will HATE CVC so don't even bother reading further or applying.
