About The Position

As a Clinical Therapist, you will be a central figure providing expert assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, or groups, guiding them through mental health challenges. You will play a vital role in empowering clients to achieve personal growth, resilience, and improved functioning. Every day, you will conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs. You will also meticulously document client progress, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and professional standards, ensuring a safe and confidential therapeutic environment. Requirements

  • Masters Other Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in an acute psychiatric setting with specific age population required.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker: CA or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/Counselor: CA or Psychologist: CA.
  • AHA Basic Life Support - CPR

Responsibilities

  • Completes a thorough psychosocial assessment on all assigned patients within timeframes within policy and program guidelines.
  • Includes all relevant psychosocial history and available collateral information.
  • From assessment, develops conclusions and treatment recommendations.
  • For outpatient programs, conducts independent clinical practice under the direction of the program director, including provisional diagnoses, formulation of the treatment plan and determination of length of stay.
  • Develops and updates treatment goals and interventions based on individual assessed needs and documents on the treatment plan.
  • Includes patient and family input in the development of the treatment plan as appropriate.
  • Goals and interventions are individualized, specific, measurable and time-framed.
  • Recognizes exhibition of the features of a potentially suicidal and/or homicidal patient and follows through appropriately to provide for the immediate safety of the patient and the appropriate level of care.
  • Provides culturally competent care with consideration for race, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and other relevant factors.
  • Educates patients, families and caregivers in all aspects of treatment and discharge planning, including education on diagnosis and symptom management.
  • Documents education and response.
