Position Summary: Under direct supervision, the Clinical Therapist/Counselor is responsible for working with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides evidence-based Seeking Safety curricula in group/individual sessions to address multiple/ complex issues related to violence, trauma/PTSD and addiction; offers individual therapy, couples/family counseling; family education/counseling, and trauma, grief support, and anger management groups; mediates family conferencing sessions Provides behavioral health services, including brief interventions, individual, group and family therapy, and services to address trauma. Implements RESPECT and other EBPs. Provides tobacco cessation counseling. Provides clinical care coordination and crisis management services as needed. Maintains communication with SMH Site Project Director; participates in scheduled trainings and meetings, as necessary. Participates in program data collection and submission as needed to meet project goals; and maintains records and completes appropriate documentation.
