What we want The Clinical Teaching Assistant works under the supervision of a Master’s or Doctorly prepared nursing faculty member primarily in the clinical setting. Assists nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical learning experiences. Required Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing One year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical hospital setting Required Licenses and Certifications Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the designated area of teaching. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines Preferred Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse Recent/current experience in acute care, med/surg Responsibilities Functions in the role of clinical supervisor. Assists faculty with the supervision of students’ skills performance, student evaluation, and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting. Requirements
