This position participates in the design, development, implementation, modification, and evaluation of healthcare information systems while recommending automated and manual solutions to enhance system functionality. You will support project teams involved in the development and implementation of clinical systems, manage assigned projects, and contribute to feasibility studies, estimating, planning, designing, development, quality assurance, prototyping, implementation, evaluation, and system modifications. Additionally, this position defines training requirements for end-users and project team members to ensure successful adoption and system effectiveness. We will hire our Clinical Systems Analyst in two different job titles, based on educational background: Clinical Systems Analyst II Systems Analyst III A caregiver in this position works remotely in Ohio, Florida, or Nevada, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation one week every 10–12 weeks. This role includes less than 5% travel.

Requirements

  • Clinical Systems Analyst II: Bachelor’s degree in related field and three years of applicable hospital or major medical center clinical experience or two years of recent experience supporting a major clinical information system OR Associate’s degree and five years of relevant experience OR High School diploma/GED and six or more years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and two years of experience
  • Experience typically supported by license in a medically related field such as nursing, pharmacy assistant, medical assistant, medical technology or EMT
  • Familiar with the processes and procedures related to health care regulatory agencies
  • In depth knowledge of clinical theory and practice
  • Technical certification may be required
  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within six months of position start date
  • Systems Analyst III: Bachelor’s degree in related field and five years of hospital or major medical center clinical experience or three years of recent experience implementing and supporting a major clinical information system OR High School diploma/GED and eight or more years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree and seven years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and four years of experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent at problem solving and relationship building
  • Experience typically supported by license in a medically related field such as nursing, pharmacy assistant, medical assistant, medical technology or EMT
  • Technical certification may be required

Nice To Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of Cleveland Clinic revenue cycle processes/workflows
  • Certification in Epic applications related to revenue cycle
  • EpicCare Ambulatory certification
  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, development, implementation, modification and evaluation of health care information systems.
  • Recommend automated and manual solutions to enhance system functionality.
  • Participate in Project teams associated with the development and implementation of clinical systems.
  • Interact with end-users as required to assist in problem definition and system design.
  • Coordinate and perform education and end-user training programs to assure systems are utilized as designed.
  • Develop end-user documentation or a permanent reference for clear, concise information.
  • Provide implementation assistance for system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Assist with system build, data validation and system testing.
  • Manage projects.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, estimating, planning, design, development, quality assurance, prototyping, implementation, evaluation and modification of automated systems.
  • Define training requirements for end-users and project team members.
  • Coordinate on-site systems administration and support activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
