Clinical & Surgical Instructor – Shelter Medicine | Humane Colorado Humane Colorado is seeking an experienced Clinical & Surgical Instructor (DVM) Veterinarian to lead and grow our veterinary externship program while delivering high-quality medical and surgical care in a dynamic shelter and community medicine setting. This unique role combines high-volume surgery (HQHVSN), dentistry, and advanced soft tissue procedures with hands-on teaching and mentorship of veterinary students. The ideal candidate is a skilled diagnostician and confident surgeon with experience in shelter medicine, incremental care, and high-volume spay/neuter , who is passionate about developing future veterinarians. This leader will cultivate a collaborative learning culture, guide ethical decision-making aligned with Socially Conscious Sheltering , and serve as a veterinary ambassador within the community. This is also an adjunct faculty position with Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
