Clinical Support Specialist II Position Summary: Provide administrative support to the clinical services team. Principal Responsibilities Perform general administrative functions: typing, copying, filing, and scanning. Perform general receptionist functions: greet/service clients and visitors, check-in clients and verify/collect their information, notify clinicians when their clients have arrived, answer and transfer calls. Maintain a neat and organized reception area and ensure it is securely locked before leaving. Maintain the clinical schedule: set appointments, ensure to prevent conflicting appointments, and make daily appointment reminder calls. Maintain cancellation list and attempt to fill cancelled appointment slots. Distribute paperwork to clients, review forms for accuracy, and obtain signatures, as needed. Assist with billing functions: verify insurance through online and/or telephonic means, obtain insurance authorizations. Provide additional billing support as assigned by the supervisor (data entry, reports, claims processing, etc.). Provide support for the submission of prior authorizations and ensuring complete and timely submissions to payers. Maintain client records according to the organization’s policies and procedures. Maintain organization, Ohio MHAS, and CARF required training. Maintain license or registration appropriate to profession and appropriate to job requirement, including appropriate amount of continuing education at all times of employment. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Other duties as assigned.
