The Heart Center at Banner Boswell has been nationally recognized for its care and expertise in cardiovascular preventive care, diagnostic services, medical and surgical treatment and rehabilitation. Our clinical neurosciences program specializes in comprehensive diagnostics, therapeutic interventions and neurosurgical treatment services for patients. As a Clinical Support Assistant, you will assist our leadership team by providing clerical and administrative support. Unit support tasks may include; assisting with timecards, staffing schedules, reporting, auditing, team communication, etc. Ideally, you will be comfortable utilizing MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.) and you will provide exceptional communication when interacting with internal/external partners and team members. Schedule:7:30am - 3pm, Monday - Friday Banner Boswell Medical Center has provided exceptional health care to the communities in the northwest area of metro-Phoenix for over five decades. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides clerical and administrative services and assistance requiring occasional discretion and judgement. This position will support the service line or department Director with timecard editing, field file management and occupational health tracking. This position will track equipment as appropriate. This position will assist with compiling audits and compliance reports as well as submitting security requests for system access for team members. This position will create onboarding schedules and new hire activities. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Provides advanced administrative support for an executive or large/complex department or provides advanced/specialized business support. Demonstrates excellence in organization, communication and human relations skills. Demonstrates strong understanding of office or area practices, procedures and business terminology. Demonstrates speed and accuracy with word processing. Shows ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task workload in a fast-paced environment. 2. Provides customer service skills. Excellence in advanced administrative skills such as dictation, transcription, presentation development and meeting planning; or excellence in advanced business support skills such as data management, compilation and manipulation. 3. Uses established policies and general instructions and procedures to resolve a variety of problems. Chooses best alternative from group of known possibilities. Maintains records and/or files for assigned area. Ensures appropriate documentation is timely and accurately entered in the departmental application. 4. Prepares, collates, and distributes various reports in a timely and accurate manner. Demonstrates ability to complete or handle recurring department projects or one-time projects, as directed by supervisor. Prioritizes and organizes own work. Uses discretion to modify work practices to achieve results or improve efficiency. Receives high- level work direction, with after the fact review. 5. May provide clerical and administrative support to department staff, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality on all sensitive information this position is privy to.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Significant experience, typically gained through 3 years relevant work experience .
  • Working knowledge of clerical and administrative services as normally demonstrated through three years administrative support experience.
  • Must have the ability to follow oral and written directions as they relate to the functions listed above.
  • Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with department personnel, assist customers with inquiries, schedule meetings and appointments, as well as, provide assistance with incoming telephone calls and walk-ins.
  • Must have a working knowledge of personal software package to perform the clerical and administrative functions described above.
  • Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task workload in a fast paced environment and maintain a professional manner.
  • Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
  • An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.
